[english]
this time we're going east:
our first stop is in halle, where eight artists – four from halle and four from kalinigrad – formed a temporary collective to collect sounds and transform them into a radio sound art piece of applied audiotourism:
"Audio Tourismus was a one-week research project in Halle. eight artists from Kaliningrad and Halle collected sounds and produced this radia-show live in the rooms of Corax and on-air. the artists were orientating on common tourism, but the used accoustic impressions instead of visuals." [R.W.]
later, we'll head to st. petersburg, where lale rodgarkia-dara over six months of her stay wrote some love letters to the city she missed.
"During my stay I construct one shortfilm every two to three weeks. They are small letters from St.Petersburg and Vienna; a construction and product of rewriting St.Petersburg and the life in Vienna, I miss during the six months residency.
BriefVision (Brief=letter in German) and PismoVidenie in the Russian meaning are the antithesis to TeleVision. Though, a letter itself can be read and is mostly read several times. A letter refers to a different reception of repetition, slowness, and even solitude." [L.R.D.]
