and again radia invites you to a trip.

in the first part of our show, we'll travel long distances with short journeys by riding the waves of our art radio network:

"Shows from the Radia Network travel… from one artist's ears to another's. From one small community to another, far away. Within the shows journeys take place too, whether a walk through the shopping centre or a trip into space.
This collage, built from fragments of some of 2009's contributions, celebrates these journeys large and small; what they have in common and what sets them apart. […]" [L.G.]

afterwards, caroline knaabel invites us to join her journey through the soundscapes of her saxophone:

"Caroline Kraabel, known to Resonance listeners for her show 'Taking a life for a walk' presents a study of her foolish machine – the saxophone. Eight players with their saxophones of varying sizes are asked to present their foolish machines to the unsuspecting listener, what they can do and what they like to do with it. The results are multilayered. Besides Caroline one can hear amongst others Lol Coxhill on the soprano and Tony Bevan on the bass saxophone." [K.A.]

Produced by Caroline Kraabel with help from Martin Williams.
