Cucumis unicornis | Unicornichon
Unglaublich, aber wahr. Es wurde eine wirklich interessante neue Spezies gesichtet. Was angesichts des Artensterbens zum Ausgang des Antropozäns vielleicht doch ein wenig hoffnungsvoll stimmen kann?
Unbelievable, but true: An interesting new species has been found. Considering the massive extinction rate we are facing in the late anthropocene, perhaps a faint glimmer of hope?
THE JOURNEY OF THE EARTHWORM (RR) von | by Gabi Schaffner
The earthworm travels on radio frequencies, earthy hacks and conglomerates of audio matter. S/he passes through mosquito clouds (yes, this earthworm can fly!), bird songs, thunderstorms, attends a Finnish summer theatre show, listens to a boy and his mother singing, visits the acoustic remnants of a German garden radio, finds happiness in the ringing of porcelain bells and, finally, merges into silence and is gone.

RadioGarten : Aussterbende Arten | RadioGarden : Moribundi
In springtime, in springtime… well: not only the birds do sing, but also rich green is growing everywhere. Bewteen all the sprouts and blossoms: who is aware of the ones that are missing? Indeed it seems the extinct and the rare become even more invisible now. Not to mention that, in contrast to the notorious Dodo, their remainders are usually not among the more prominent dust collectors in our museums of natural history. Good reasons to celebrate their memory in our GUNSTradioGARDEN…

RadioGarten : Gießen! | RadioGarden : Gießen!
Let us follow the Motto "Gießen ist des Gärtners erste Pflicht!" – while the English translation reminds us of the gardener's duty to water beds and meadows, the German original provides us with a second meaning: pointing us to the city of Gießen, this year's host of the Landesgartenschau, the country garden fair…
earthscapes radia #484: inland + radia #375: DNT GVP
