The research field encompasses projects concerned with artistic engagement in and with networks, net media and network technologies.

While a strong focus is set on the internet and the world wide web, the general radius of research includes issues and questions about core principles, potentials and problems to be traced and contextualized in a broader historical and systematical perspective.
