Sonja Thiel: stadtlabor unterwegs

Guest Lecture

Sonja Thiel, curator of the current "stadtlabor unterwegs: Wallanlagen", talks about the general concept of the "stadtlabor unterwegs" series, about past projects and recent developments.

A special focus is set on methodological aspects, and on the potentials and problems of a curatorial model building upon field research, local practices, participation and cooperation.

Sonja Thiel (M.A.) is historian, philosopher and working as a free-lance curator. For the Municipal Museum of History (Historisches Museum Frankfurt am Main), she has develped several projects of the "stadtlabor unterwegs" series.

The lecture is part of the WORKSHOP:FORUM VISUAL CULTURE on PLACEMAKING within the focus programme MITTEL(N): AT PLACE.
Moreover, it connects to the project WEGEN:WALLANLAGEN and the related course "Wallanlagen. Loca(liz)tions in Inter-Spaces".
