Wovon träumst Du, wenn Du an Wildnis denkst?

Wie die Seele, so ist auch die Imagination ein weites Land. Mit wohl bestellten Feldern und gepflegt bepflanzten Gärten – zwischen denen aber auch Zonen der Verwilderung nisten und in denen man auf ausgedehnte Gebiete stossen kann, die wohl mit Fug und Recht als "Wildnis" bezeichnet werden können. Der Erkundung dieser Gebiete hat sich GUNSTradio ja bereits vor längerem verschrieben. Da trifft es sich gut, dass derzeit in der Schirn Kunsthalle eine Ausstellung zu sehen ist, die hierzu ebenfalls einlädt und eine Reihe von Bildern zusammengetragen hat, die je auf ihre Weise ein Terrain erschliessen, das sich in seiner Gänze doch niemals begehen und verstehen lässt.

What do you dream of when you think of wilderness?

Just like the soul, also our imagination is a vast land. With well-tilled fields and well-planted gardens – however, between these we find neatly nested zones of neglect and feralization as well as extensive areas we can aptly consider as wilderness.
For some time now GUNSTradio is striving to explore concepts, apparitions, imaginations, incorporations, and materializations of wildnerness(es).
Thus we are happy to find the Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt joining in with a recent show that has collected a whole lot of wonderful pictures and objects opening up the terrain in their very own way(s) – a terrain that probably will never be walked through and understood in its entirety…
