Critical Crafting CircleThe Critical Crafting Circle is an interdiciplinary group and network of scholars and artists researching recent as well as historical theories and practices of textile crafts and arts. The Critical Crafting Circle has been founded in 2007 by Elisabeth Freiß, Elke Gaugele, Elke Zobl, Sonja Eismann and Verena Kuni. We are a group and network of scholars, researchers, journalists and artists working in the field of material and visual culture(s), researching the role of textile techniques and technologies, their aesthetics and politics in past and present practices and theories from critical point of view.
