die eine ist geschichte: am 25. april erhob sich das portugiesische militär gegen die herrschende diktatur des estado novo.
nelken, die menschen den soldaten als zeichen der der solidarität in die gewehrläufe steckten, gaben ihr den namen: nelkenrevolution.
sie war der erste schritt auf dem weg in die demokratie.
radio zero hat historische aufnahmen aus den archiven geholt und lauscht im hinterzimmer der kommunikation der revolution.

im zweiten teil der sendung geht es um die kleinen, alltäglichen revolutionen im hier und jetzt.

revolution! revolution?

the first one is history: april 25th, 1974 was the day when the portuguese military rose against the dictatorship of estado nuovo.
carnations stuck by the people into the gun barrels of the soldiers to show solidarity gave the revolution it's name: carnation revolution.
it was the first step towards democracy.
radio zero retrieved the audio archives and kept an ear on the backstage communication of carnation revoltion:

"This program consists of the unedited recordings of the military operational communications that occurred during the 25th April 1974 in Portugal, the so called 'carnation revolution'. It is a raw window to the dynamic of a military push converted popular revolution that ended 40 years of dictatorship and jump started dreams and hopes which, like all revolutions, are still to be fulfilled." the second part of the show will focus on the tiny, modest daily revolutions that use to take place right here and right now.
