Anachrony

Against time. This is what the Greek roots are telling us: ??? – against, ?????? – time. A figure quite obviously closely related to "anachronism" (see ibid.). And just like anachronism pointing us to a different idea of chronological perspective(s), if not of time itself.

Both go back to the assumption there is a (= one, single) order of time, and of events in time. Thus, whatever deviates from this order, must be ana-chrono-logical.

However, what if we can't be sure at all about this order?
What if decisive data are missing?
