Cross Cultures: The Sultan's Mousepad

Cross Cultures
Workshop-Seminar
Museum für Angewandte Kunst Frankfurt Main
December 7, 2011

Cross Cultures is a series of events, workshops and interventions researching migrations, transfers and transformations of ideas, forms and formats between cultures in history and present.

The workshop-seminar "The Sultan's Mousepad" is focussing on contemporary perceptions and ideas of Islamic art, art history and culture(s).
Our starting point are objects presented in the Museum for Arts and Crafts (Museum für Angewandte Kunst) Frankfurt am Main as part the collection "Vorderer Orient". With a guided tour through the collection, discussions, and a guest lecture by Jörg Ahrnd (artist and curator, Frankfurt am Main).

Cross Cultures is a Project & Cooperation with the Museum für Angewandte Kunst Frankfurt am Main.

Further information on this event is so far available in German only. Thank you for your kind understanding.
