D:D:D-Walk Taunusanlage

Urban Walk
Summer 2023

This walk is part of the series DEMOKRATIE:DENK MAL:DEMOKRATIE – Dialogische Spaziergänge zur Kunst (Democracy – (Re-)Think Monuments – Democracy) and of the summer term programme of Goethe University's Bürgeruniversität (Citizen University).

Together, we will explore art and/as monuments in public space, and their relation to democracy – in this case by walking together the Taunusanlage (as well as parts of the Gallus-Anlage, where we will start our walk).

With: Dr. Jessica Beebone, art historian, Kulturamt der Stadt Frankfurt am Main, and Prof. Dr. Verena Kuni, visual culture studies, Goethe University.

Great many thanks to Pia Barth and Isabelle Hammerschmiedt from the dept. Communication for their wonderful support!

From summer 2023 onwards, the D:D:D-Walks are developed as a cooperation of Kulturamt der Stadt Frankfurt/Kunst im Öffentlichen Raum, Dr. Jessica Beebone, and Goethe University, Prof. Dr. Verena Kuni, Visual Culture, for Goethe Bürgeruniversität.

For a more detailed information about the series pls. see the description in German.
