oder die einer reisenden. als filme von sankt petersburg nach wien geschickt. langsamkeit, nachträglichkeit, erinnerung und sehnsucht. gesprochene, knisterte, flüsternde schrift.

sent from nowhere to somewhere – or was it the other way round?

the first delivery comes from lisbon's OS orchestra:

"A series of letters that come from a far away place and time. The narrator describes his research voyage on a planet with strange geological formations: The Cones. Alone, he writes this letters to W and keeps us aware of his mental deflections induced by the odd landscape." [P.R.]

afterwards, lale rodgarkia-dara sends some very special love-letters from and for two cities – one being her home-town and the other, st. petersburg, her host during an artist's residency:

"During my stay I construct one shortfilm every two to three weeks. They are small letters from St. Petersburg and Vienna; a construction and product of rewriting St. Petersburg and the life in Vienna, I miss during the six months residency.
BriefVision (Brief=letter in German) and PismoVidenie in the Russian meaning are the antithesis to TeleVision. Though, a letter itself can be read and is mostly read several times. A letter refers to a different reception of repetition, slowness, and even solitude." [L.R.D.]
