(IN)VISIBLE ARCHIVESImaginations, Utopias, Fictions and Realities of the Archive The idea of the archive – and with it each extisting and imaginary archive – is informed by an unresolvable dilemma: Each inclusion requires exclusions. Whatever is made visible refers to what remains invisible. Any striving for preservation is a struggle with decay. The aim for completeness is always doomed to fail. The research focus encompasses projects dealing with different aspects of (in)visible archives and archivalia.
