UPLAY EVERYWHERE

A network based game/play and/as research on urban situations and transformations

The idea of UPLAY EVERYWHERE was born during the UPLAY @ RUHRORT workshop that took place in the framework of ISEA RUHR 2010.
Our research/play at place in Duisburg-Ruhrort revealed – not really as a suprise, but rather based upon experiences with previous projects in urban spaces each of us had been involved in before – that it would make sense to expand our play into a parallel networked process.

The core group of UPLAY @ RUHRORT who decided to continue with UPLAY EVERYWHERE consisted of the following artists and researchers:
Allison Gazzard (UK), Andrew Wilson (UK), Lenara Verle (BR), Petr Svarovsky (CZ), Polise Moreira De Marchi (BR), and Verena Kuni (DE), who had conceived the workshop as well as the basic settings of the play online and at place.
However, depending on how UPLAY EVERYWHERE will further develop, the UPLAY EVERYWHERE network may expand and/or shrink to any dimension.
