Images and/as InterfacesDealing with Images under the Auspecies of Digital Culture The project is concerned with the generation, interpretation, understanding and use of images in a culture strongly effected by digital media. It is asking how images in general (be them digital or analog), our idea of images and the ways we are dealing with images have been changed and are changing under the impact of digital media. Within this focus, we are interested both in systematic aspects as well as in more specific questions (i.e. questions about the transformations of aesthetics, of visual literary, of visual communication, of art and works of art, of displays and exhibitions etc.).
