In English language, the term "time piece" is another word for "clock". However, as mentioned in the related entry (see: Time Pieces) for someone not coming from the Anglo-American language area the words "time" and "piece" combined will allow additional associations as well.

Now, on this background: What would you consider being an "Alternate Time Piece"?

Would "Alternate Time Piece" simply be another term for "[Alternate Clock]"?
Or something completely different?
If so, would there still be mechanisms relating it to counting/measuring time – and, more specifically, [Altermate Time(s)]?

How do Alternate Time Pieces work?
How do they look like?

Are Alternate Time Pieces objects?
Are Alternate Time Pieces also – in some cases or even always – [Philosophical Toys]?

In how far are Alternate Time Pieces and Alternate Time Capsules related?
