Concept and Considerations
Installments of Bubble Gum Clocks are likely to be found in certain urban public spaces, yet not strictly limited to the latter. They may be not be easy to find, however there are sites that are more prone to host Bubble Gum Clocks than others. Among these are, perhaps most prominently, transient zones: places where people are leaving public outdoor sites to enter closed/indoor sites. I.e.: entrances of public buildings, coroprate/office buildings, shops, restaurants, bars, clubs etc. Also bus stops and tram stops are likely to host Bubble Gum Clocks.
Note: Bubble Gum Clocks found may vanish from one day to the next (however unlikely this may seem) due to cleaning actions or street building.
For obvious reasons, the mechanisms of Bubble Gum Clocks are site-specific in many ways; moreover they are irregular and highly influenced by subjective factors.
Ticks are usually very slow, and it is not easy to track them.
Of course assisting camera/video installments can be helpful, however their use would (or will) raise issues of public surveillance.

Note: It may be claimed that Bubble Gum Clocks are perfect pendants to urban [Lichen Clocks] (see ibid.).
However, while these are known as treatments for therapy of certain forms of [Time Sickness] (see ibid.), Bubble Gum Clocks are – at least first hand – rather symptoms of Time Sickness(es) and only be used by skilled persons for therapeutic processes as well.
