Clock Bending

General Remarks and Considerations

Clock work, literally.

Of course there is a whole variety of possible strategies, methods and techniques for time bending. To research, rethink, develop and test these is obviously a core part of Time Bending Clock Work.

In this framework, Clock Bending can be an option – on a conceptual as well as on a practical level.

Part of the latter are several hands-on methods, including rather simple analog hacks, transformations and re-constructions of clocks and clockworks.

These methods may be applied to traditional time pieces (clocks with clockfaces etc). However, they may be also applied on other mechanisms that are decisive for human perception and understanding of time.
Obviously, (a) Time Bending Clock Work is concerned with and thus may operate on both levels.

Note: We may consider the TIK Wind Clock synchronization, including its application for TIK (Wind Time based) Radio as a good example for a successful clock bending strategy.
An example for a very simple analog hack can be found in our (UN)TIME CLOCK series, for which a prototype has been presented in the framework of the TIK "Vietor a Cas" ("Wind and Time") exhibition in Asil Gallery, Bratislava, in September 2011.
