Connected Open Greens

General Remarks and Considerations

Connected Open Greens (COGs) can be defined as an open network of [Open Greens] (see ibid.) – no matter how the connection is being established. Be it conceptually, mentally, imaginative, socially and/or by technologies.
Usually, all these connectives will play a role within the respective network.

However, not only are these connections – and thus the structure(s) of the network – rather flexible, dynamic and instable.
For also the Open Greens themselves are generally very time-sensitive in many ways, this is even more the case for the Connected Open Greens.

This multi-layered relationship to time(s) – local time, geographical time, meteorological time, biological time, circadian time, social time, emotional time, sensed time, experienced time, imaginations of time, memory/memories, stories and histories – has set Connected Open Greens on the research agenda of Time Inventors' Kabinet, and also connects them to the TBC(W).

While working on (and with) Open Greens, and with Connected Open Greens respectively, allows to raise and to connect to a whole variety of issues (ecological, social, urban research-related etc), in the framework of TBC research we are obviously focusing primarily on the time-related aspects. However, we are of course not only interested in the time-based dynamics and transformations the COGs and their internal as well as external connections in general, but especially in how far these can be used for time bending, and TBC installments respectively.

Note: In the framework of TIK research and activities there is meanwhile also a separate platform for TIK related COGs, these being called "Connected OpenGreens" (without blank space between "Open" and "Green"). See the external hyperlinks below.
