General Remarks

Elements: Fire, Water, Air, Earth.
Prime Matters (however, prima materia would contain all four of them, plus the so called fifth element, ether, in one).

And indeed the elements are also closely related to time in many ways. Some of these relations – especially those relevant for concepts of alternate times (or alternate concepts of time) and for [TIME BENDING CLOCK mechanisms] – are or will be further explored in separate entries of the TBC encyclopedia.

Among these are also historic clocks and mechanisms of time measurement (as i.e. those found in [Elementaruhren], see ibid.). However, we might indeed also als for [alternate clocks] based upon the elements.

We might even – all conscious about the from nowadays perspective rather seen as historic, if not completely fictious concept of a fifth element – ask: Could we imagine an Ether Clock? If so, what about its design, its mechanisms, measurements and other features?
