Kunstgeburtstag (Jetzt erst recht!) | Art's Birthday (Now more than ever!)
Oh-oh: This year we are a little early. Two whole days! On January 17, 1963 the French FLUXUS-artist Robert Filliou invited the world to celebrate a birthday. Not his own one – this would have been a proper match as well. But Art's Birthday – the birthday of art as in fine art, art history etc. Of course we can only guess if he was right claiming that art had been born precisely one million years ago. However, who wants to debate about such an important date? Thus, every year around January 17 many people – and many art radio stations – celebrate Art's Birthday, and – as almost every year – we are happily joining the party with a special GUNSTradio show.
